The People’s National Congress Reform wishes to express its sorrow at the passing of Jamaica-born Professor Emeritus of the University of the West Indies (UWI), Dr. Norman Girvan. Professor Girvan was one of the most gifted economists in the region, a committed integrationist and a man of wide views and interests.

PNCR Message on the passing of Former President, A.N.R. Robinson

The People’s National Congress Reform joins the rest of the region in mourning the passing of former President of Trinidad and Tobago, Mr. Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson, SC, OCC, TC also known as A.N.R. Robinson. Mr. Robinson died on Wednesday 9th April 2014 at the St. Clair Medical Hospital after a prolonged illness. He was 87 years old. La Parfaite Harmonie still under-developed

The People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) held a public meeting on Saturday 29th March at the Four Corners – La Parfaite Harmonie, Essequibo Islands-West Demerara Region. Speakers at the meeting included Mr. Joseph Harmon, MP; Ms. Annette Ferguson, MP; Ms. Cheryl Sampson, PNCR Central Executive Member; and Brigadier David Granger, Leader of the PNCR. Mr. Joseph Harmon gave the residents an update on the Anti-Money Laundering amendment legislation and A Partnership for National Unity’s work in the Parliamentary Special Select Committee. Hinterland Scholarship predates the PPP in Government

It is clear that the General Secretary of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP), Mr. Clement Rohee is either a poor student of history or uneducated on matter pertaining to Hinterland Development and especially the Hinterland Scholarship Programme. In a Page 11 article in Kaieteur News on July 8, 2015, “New Gov’t. only pretending to care about Guyana’s youth – PPP”, Mr. Rohee is quoted as saying; “scant regard was given to the fact that the Hinterland Scholarship Programme is one of the flagship initiatives of the PPP administration”.
